We ♥ Old Town
The Karma Club Chicago team loves to celebrate the neighborhoods our awesome base of customers come from, as Chicago is filled with tons of character, cool finds, and down-to-earth spots. While our recreational cannabis dispensary is located in the heart of Lincoln Park, we’re big fans of Old Town too. If you’re coming from the south on your way up to the dispensary, make sure you check out Old Town before or after you stop in! Here’s a few places we think you’ll find worth checking out.
Eat & Drink in Old Town
If you’re looking to settle down to (or get riled up about) sports and a few beers, Old Town is the place for it. But, we’ve gathered up a few alternative standouts where you’ll get classic food or a great view.
Attractions in Old Town
Old Town is famous for two things: comedy and history.
Old Town Business We Love
While Old Town has its share of boutiques and apparel shops, these are three classic niche shops that have been serving Chicago for years.
Fudge Pot
1532 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60610
Filling Old Town with the delicious smell of homemade fudge since 1963, Fudge Pot is where you can find chocolate, caramel apples, and, of course, fudge. While they may not sell THC infused edibles like we do at Karma Club, this is definitely the place to go if you’re craving something sweet.
The Spice House
1512 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60610
When Chicago’s top chefs and bakers are looking for spices, they go to The Spice House in Old Town. Owned by second-generation spice merchants and carrying over 600 products, you can find everything you need in this unique shop.
The House of Glunz
1206 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60610
Keeping with the historic theme that is offered all around Old Town, The House of Glunz has sold wine and spirits since 1888 and holds the title of the country’s oldest wine shops owned by the same family. Check the schedule and stop in for a wine tasting!
Transit
If traveling by foot or transit, the best way to reach Old Town from Karma Club is by walking, biking, taking the 72 bus eastbound and exiting at North & Sedgwick or North & Wells, or by taking the Red Line south to Clark/Division, then traveling to your point of interest.
